What does custom gym fightwear cost for an MMA, BJJ or Muay Thai gym?

Quick answer

Custom gym fightwear from Gallian Sports starts at $22 for a short-sleeve rash guard, $25 for MMA fight shorts and $65 for a 450 GSM pearl weave BJJ gi, with a 10-piece minimum per design and gym logos, sponsor logos and names included. Orders of 50 to 99 pieces save 15%, and production takes about 3 to 4 weeks after mockup approval.

What custom gym fightwear can an MMA, BJJ or Muay Thai gym order?

Custom gym fightwear is training and competition gear printed with your gym's name, logo and colors, made to order in your own design rather than bought off a shelf and patched with a screen-printed logo. Gallian Sports makes six core pieces for gyms and fight teams in the USA and Canada: short-sleeve and long-sleeve rash guards, compression spats, MMA fight shorts, Muay Thai shorts and BJJ gis. The minimum is 10 pieces per design, youth to adult 3XL sizes mixed, with a free design mockup within 24 hours and no setup fees.

Every sublimated piece includes your logos, your sponsor logos and individual names at no extra charge, so a team rash guard with each fighter's name on the back costs the same as a plain one. Full details are on the fightwear page.

What are the Gallian fightwear color series?

Fightwear comes in 11 color series. Each series is a matched pair of base and accent colors that runs across the rash guard, spats, shorts and gi, so your gym's no-gi set and gi set look like one kit. Examples are Circuit (black with neon lime), Claw (black with red) and Cobalt (navy with royal). You can also send your own Pantone references and we match them instead.

For a gym, a color series solves a practical problem: ranked rash guards. Many BJJ schools want white, blue, purple, brown and black belt versions of the same design for IBJJF-style no-gi rules. Pick one series as the base, and we produce the five rank variants from the same artwork. Each rank counts as its own design for the 10-piece minimum, so plan the order around your belt distribution.

How do gyms sell custom fightwear to members?

Most gyms we work with do not give gear away. They run a small pro shop, and the margin pays for mats, a competition fund or coach travel. The math works because factory-direct pricing leaves room between what you pay and what a member happily pays for gear with their own gym's name on it.

  • Rash guards: at 50 pieces you pay from $18.70. If your pro shop sells them at $45, that is about $26 of margin per piece; at $55, about $36.
  • Shorts and spats: cost from about $20.40 at 50 pieces. At a $45 shelf price, the margin is about $24 per piece.
  • Gis: cost from $55.25 at 50 pieces. At a $120 shelf price, the margin is about $65 per gi, and new white belts need one on day one.

Two ways to run it. First, a pre-order: collect sizes and payment from members for two weeks, then place one order that hits the 50 or 100-piece tier. Second, a stocked shop: order a mixed-size run of your best-selling rash guard and keep it on the shelf for new members. Many gyms combine both, with a pre-order for the gi and stock for the rash guard. A team hoodie from our off-field range is the easiest add-on, since parents and casual members buy it too.

How should a gym collect sizes for rash guards, shorts and gis?

Rash guards and spats are compression fit, so they size differently from a t-shirt. Our size chart lists chest and waist in inches for youth YS through adult 3XL, and we send it with the mockup. Three rules that avoid remakes:

  1. Members pick by chest measurement, not by their usual t-shirt size. Someone who wears a large tee usually fits a large rash guard, but a borderline body should go up for comfort and down for competition fit.
  2. Fight shorts are sized by waist with a stretch gusset, so one size covers more bodies than a woven short. Order by waist in inches.
  3. Gis use A sizes (A0 to A5) and kids M sizes. Our pearl weave gi is shrink-controlled, so you order the fitted size rather than one up to allow for shrinkage.

Mixed sizes within the same design count toward the same tier, so a 50-piece order can be any mix of YS to 3XL. Our sizing guide explains how to run a size collection without chasing people.

How do you care for sublimated fightwear?

Sublimated rash guards, spats and shorts are printed into the polyester fiber, not on top of it. There is no vinyl or plastisol layer to crack or peel, and the color does not fade with washing. Members still get more life from their gear with three habits: wash cold or warm with no bleach and no fabric softener, hang dry or tumble on low, and turn the garment inside out to protect the flatlock seams from mat friction in the wash. Gis are 450 GSM pearl weave cotton, so wash cold and hang dry; the shrink-controlled weave holds its size as long as it stays out of a hot dryer.

If a piece arrives with a production defect, report it within 14 days and we remake it free. We do not take change-of-mind returns on custom items, which is why we send the mockup and size chart before anything is cut.
