Numbers and league rules

Most US high school leagues follow NFHS uniform rules, and many youth and AAU leagues use similar standards. Check your league's current rulebook before you approve, especially for:

• Number size and color contrast against the jersey (front and back).
• Which numbers are allowed (some leagues limit digits to 0–5).
• Home and away color requirements (often light at home, dark away).
• Logo and manufacturer mark size limits.

Sizing a basketball team

Basketball fits are loose. Shorts should sit just above the knee and jerseys should not be tight across the chest. A 12-player team ordering the home and away package pays $90.95 × 12 = $1,091.40. With 25 players across two age groups, the 8% tier brings each package to about $83.67. Every uniform includes the full design, names and numbers.

Design tips for basketball uniforms

• Keep numbers big and high-contrast. Referees and scorers must read them from across the court. Light numbers on a dark jersey, or dark on light, work best.
• Use side panels and trim to add style without crowding the chest. Sublimation makes stripes, gradients and patterns free to add.
• Match the shorts. Carry the jersey's trim colors and side panel onto the shorts so the uniform reads as one set.
• Think about both colors. If you choose reversible jerseys, check that both sides follow your league's home and away rules.
• Leave space for a sponsor if your club has one. Sublimated sponsor logos add no cost.

Shooter shirts are the loose, short-sleeve tops teams wear during warm-ups. They make a team look organized before tip-off and protect game jerseys from extra wear. Caring for basketball uniforms

Wash uniforms cold and inside out after every game, and hang them to dry. Avoid fabric softener, which clogs the moisture-wicking fabric, and do not leave sweaty uniforms in a bag overnight. Sublimated numbers will not crack or peel, so a well-cared-for set lasts several seasons.

Reordering for new players

Your design is saved after the first order, so new players can get matching uniforms later without a new setup. Most teams also order one or two spare uniforms in common sizes at the start of the season.
